I am going to start just posting everything on my regular family blog. I will slowly transfer stuff over. I just decided one blog is enough.

Tie pattern

I saw this and now I have to make my son a tie. It is so cute and they offer a free pattern. Most of it is sewn by hand so you don't even need a machine. I will let you know how our tie adventure goes.

Recycle Jeans

My neice had a birthday tonight, and so I decided to make her a purse. I had an old pair of 4T jeans that were holy and so I used them. I put a liner on the inside and a little divider down the middle of the inside. I really had fun making this. And the little jelly bean fabric made it look so cute. I am pretty sure I will be making more of these.

Valentine Wreath

I love Valentine Decorations. This is such a fun idea. I am trying to think of what I could use as

a heart shape since I don't have any styrofoam. I just love the colors of Valentine's Day.

SNOW much fun

A friend brought over her toy and paper, and I cut out the wood. It was fun.

*We painted blocks white

*Cut out letters

*Cut out paper & sanded it to give it a worn look.

*glued everything on

* added embellishments

It really wasn't a hard project. It made it quicker with us both working on it.

Wedding cake in 10 Minutes

I found this great YouTube video on how to make a wedding cake. The recipe sounds delicious. I have done wedding cakes before and icing is always the issue. I am dying to try this recipe because it is different than the one I have used. I typically use the Meringue powder buttercream. I would guess this icing couldn't be used on a cake that wants pure white icing because real butter is used.
